Can You convert a 2000 Mustang From Stock To A Mustang GT?

Question:

Can a stock 2000 Mustang be fixed up to a GT Mustang?

Answer:

Yes it can be upgraded.

There are few major differences between the stock Mustang and the 2000 Ford Mustang GT.

It all depends on how close you want your conversion to be.

Assuming you have the 4.6 liter V8, there's a few suspension pieces that need to be changed or added (see below).

After that, it's all about appearance!

Here's some specs on the 2000 Mustang compared to the Mustang GT

4.6L SOHC V-8 260 hp.

Front Spring rate - coupe 400 lbs./in. GT 450.

Stabilizer bar, front Coupe 25.4mm (1.00") GT 28mm (1.10")

Stabilizer bar, rear Coupe none GT 24mm (0.94")

Front brake rotors: same
Rear brake rotors: same

Caster,Camber,Toe-in: same

Hope this helps!
