1966 Mustang Coupe Options Rare ?

Question :

I have just recently purchased a 1966 Mustang coupe. This car is equipped with an OEM factory Ford under dash air conditioner, a 289 v8 and c4 automatic transmission. It also has the bench front seat with fold down center and is equipped with factory Ford front disc brakes.

Are these 1966 Mustang coupe options rare, and if so, how rare are these options?

Thanks Bama Boyd Talbert

Answer :

The bench seat option is considered to be a fairly rare option. I say fairly, because out of a total production of 19666 Mustangs of just over 600,000 cars, there were 21,397 1966 Mustang coupes produced with the bench seat option.

As far as cars with a 289 V8 and a C4 transmission there were quite a few. The only way to really find out how many 1966 Mustang coupe options together were produced with the bench seat, factory air conditioning, 289 V8 and C4 automatic and disc brakes, would probably mean ordering up a Marti report on your car.

When you supply him (Kevin Marti) with your vin number, he can look up the original production statistics, as well as all other information particular to your vehicle, including the date it was manufactured and all options that were ordered.
